95 days left to go! (Give or take of course!)

This baby boy of ours has given me a pretty easygoing pregnancy! I feel lucky that I never got sick or had any complications (so far) The only thing I had was few dizzy spells and an upset stomach from time to time, very early in the pregnancy. For the most part it has been fun and easy. Lately though it has been uncomfortable and I feel my body slowing down a lot. I am used to go! go! go! but it seems to be no no no now! Not that I am complaining, I have truly loved every minute of this little guy being warm and safe inside me. I was very surprised when T mentioned that she will miss me being pregnant, I think I will miss it too but so happy that he will be in our arms!
Room seems to be getting scarce in the tummy Inn. I can actually see him move sometimes when looking at my belly! He seems to be on a little schedule too- he wakes me up every morning with little kicks (I am guessing he is hungry! I know I sure am!!) Then I feel him sometimes in the afternoon here and there but not too much. At bedtime he is the most active, I swear he is playing hacky sack with my insides! T thinks it is just amazing to feel his tiny kicks. I love how she smiles and gets so happy when she feels him! Brings joy to my heart every single time.

Side note on Rude people!

Before we started TTC (2 or 3 years before) I had lost  A LOT of weight (over a 120lbs I lost) by the time we had got married I had put back on about 40-50 of those lbs but it never bothered me I was healthy and happy..so why would it??? T has always and will always make me feel like I am the most beautiful. I have put on some more lbs now that we are pregnant, not a crazy amount but I carry a lot of it in my face. I do feel I have a little belly, I have never been stick thin but I see a baby belly!! Well to make a long story short - when I was at my old office visiting, one of my co-works  said "oh I thought you had just put back on all the weight you lost; I didn't even know you were pregnant- congratulations!" To me it was a little rude. I have always been ashamed of my size but as I grow up it is my health that comes first not my dress size!! My family is always bugging and asking me especially now that I am pregnant. Saying things like "have you gained a lot?" what is your weight now?" every conversation something to do with my weight comes up! My family is like that and always has been, thin = beauty to them!! This is one reason why I rarely speak to them! I do plan to drop a few lbs after our son is born but more for keeping up with a toddler and being a more healthy active me! I have no desire to be a size 0!  ...Yes I look huge but to me it is worth it!  I am a bigger girl who is pregnant and I show my baby pump off with pride and love! We are all people, we are all made up of the same things!! big, small, gay straight, short, tall, black, white it does not matter! I am a true believer in accepting people for who they are on the inside!

Hope everyone is having a great week! Peace and Positive vibes to everyone out in blog-World!

Balancing act

When the universe gives you a huge bowl of greatness it tends to balance things out by throwing some shit into the mix! Finically we are living on a tight budget due to me not having as many hours. We have had to do some MAJOR cut backs and I have taken on a second summer job to try and catch up before our little guy arrives! I really cannot believe I did, it sounds crazy to be pregnant and working two jobs but I know it will be worth it in the end!  This way we can get back on track and start saving for our dreams and goals. I have had one or two folks ask “well how are you going to afford it all when you go on parental leave? Kids are so expensive!”  Simple answers for that are babies/kids do not have to be expensive unless you make it that way!  Very little in a babies world needs to be brand new! Many people sell their barley used like new baby items at less then half of what they paid for them in store!  Budgeting and being frugal is key! We have hit up a few garage sales in our area, we found a lady selling newborn to 1 year clothing for 25 cents per piece! There were some really nice outfits some still with the tags on, but all were very pink and very frilly so we sadly :( couldn’t take advantage of that steal. But we have found some awesome baby items for next to nothing that we can use! ...I love garage sales and so happy they are in season before our little boy is due!!

So yes we have had to cut back on a few things that we will miss but in the end I know together we can get through this little rough patch and it will be fun! (yes FUN!  believe it or not some of the best family times we have had happened when our funds were low!!)

Thank you to my love T for installing this awesome clothesline, to not only help out our bank account but our environment to! I love seeing the clothes all hung up makes me feel all warm and fuzzy!! (It’s the small things that get me excited! LOL)

Stay Positive & Happy Monday to all!

WOW!! :D

We are expecting a little gentleman! I had a feeling it was a girl but our little bean was a boy!!

SO EXCITING!! We do have another ultrasound today for our 19 week measurements! So we will get to find out all over again! The one we did yesterday was one we booked just for fun. We got a little heart beat frog (so cool to have a keep sake with the little guys heart beat!!) a DVD of the whole ultrasound and a CD of some pictures of the wee one!
the little monkey was moving and grooving ....A LOT!! So we were not able to get any real good ones but today we will get some more ...so here is hoping!

Giving us a thumbs up! (The umbilical cord looked like liquorice to me)

Cute little toes!

His little legs were up on his belly in this one

He seems to be looking at his little fingers! LOL
Take care everyone and have a great week!! Positive vibes to all!!

Belly Beauty..

I don’t know if it’s the hormones going crazy or if it’s just me but I have been googling what people my size look like pregnant even though I know everyone is different I still can’t help myself.  I am scared to death I will not get a baby bump and that I will just look extra chunky. I put on about 45lbs that brought me up to 195.  That is where I have stayed for about a year now. I know that I will get over 200lbs with this little miracle and I have come to terms with that. I still want to stay active and not go crazy over board with gaining weight, I think that it’s unhealthy to gain to little and also unhealthy to gain to much, so I am hoping I will be in the middle someplace. The Website “the shape of a mother” has eased my mind a little, letting me see that “baby bumps” come in all shapes and sizes!  I always see the beauty in anything and anyone so in these hormonal times I have got to remember to see it in myself. My belly will be a thing of beauty no matter what happens because of what is growing inside it!

Midwife?? OB?? or Family Doctor??

We had our first Doctors appointment yesterday and all went well! I got my first set of blood work done (wont know anything until next week) We found out that our family Doctor does not do deliveries  but can look after our prenatal care until around 20 weeks if needed and at that point she would either refer to a family Doc who does deliveries or an OB. (she also suggested a midwife but that is self referred and can be at anytime)  I know for sure that I am NOT interested in a home birth, but midwifes can work out of the hospital as well now. So many choices! We will have to look into them and see what one fits us best...but I am really hoping cookie, our youngest pup will know the answer when she wakes up! LOL

One month pregnant!

I love every minute of my nausea and extreme fatigue, it lets me know that life is growing inside of me. The only down side is I really want to stay active during my pregnancy and feeling like a huge ball of crap everyday all day…puts a damper on getting up and out for exercise. Eating right is hard to, as I have zero appetite and when I do it doesn’t last long enough for me to enjoy the meal.
I have lost a total of 90lbs over the last 2 years and would love to stay in the normal weight gain for my pregnancy so that after the little monkey arrives it is easier for me to continue on my weight loss adventure with him/her or them LOL..you never know! I want to be able to keep up with a growing child that's for sure!

Stay positive and baby dust to everyone!  :)
